I was in so much pain. I had been running for 9 hours that day to catch up. It’s more than the physical exhaustion, I was spent and felt like I have nothing left to give.
Then there
@montanafarrahseaton was.
She just hit her furthest distance when she found me in my weakest moment. No words. We locked eyes and started crying.
Mon pulled me out, then Devon, Stef, Kayla, Nikky, Yoon. They each ran the next lap with me.

This is what FURTHER is about.
We buckled up together at the lowest lows and rode onto the highest highs. Only the 10 of us could fully understand what went down out there those six days. It was hot and dry / windy, chilly, dark / and very very lonely. By day 2, most of us realized that finding each other on the course was what kept us going.
Leah
@leah_yingling would always run past us while screaming, “You’re amazing.”
Mirna
@themirnavator would sing for us.
And
@runcamille in the midst of breaking all the records, would remind me to, “Touch the sky!”
This was never about the miles.
FURTHER is about teamwork. It is about women conquering hardships with love and grace. Women moving mountains all while uplifting each other. We run for a different reason but all with the same dream to further women in sports, and in life.
If there’s one thing we’ve shown the world: It’s that human possibilities are limitless; and the only path to the highest level of magic, is together.
FURTHER, together.
“I love you.” — my teammates, my crew, our lululemon FURTHER family. Forever grateful to be part of this extraordinary ride.
