KXTNation we lost one of our very own,
“The First Lady” of Tejano Radio in San Antonio
KXTN Dj , “Lady Di” Diana Castillo.
We’ve seen so many great things said about Lady Di in the past week from Family, Friends, Co-Workers and Fans we know that Lady Di is smiling down on all of us.
Please help us send our most sincere condolences to her family and may the lord wrap his arms around all of them and give them strength during this difficult time. 🙏
We wanted to share part of a post from a dear friend Jose Rosario Gonzales. See full post on our Facebook Page
It is a sad day in Tejano Radio, as one of the most beautiful female voices on the air, Lady Di, Diana Castillo, has gone silent. She was a dear friend and part of our beloved radio family. Always with her sweet, easy smile and her rich, amazing voice, she could power up the airwaves any time.
Her role in breaking new artists and new songs as a Program Director in Lubbock was so important and spectacular. She later moved to San Antonio as part of the Dream Team at KXTN, then the
#1 radio station in the San Antonio market, Tejano and Proud.
Heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fellow radio personalities, including our dear friend Jonny Ramirez, who informed us of her condition yesterday. Speedy Petey, Peter A. Morales III big hug.
Always remembered, loved, and appreciated. Lady Di, beloved friend, rest easy.
Thank You Johnny Ramirez for sharing the info on her services.
While most of us are still processing the passing of Lady Di, I would on behalf of her family, like to share the information on her service. I would love to see San Antonio give her one heck of a final send off!
Service is Saturday July 8, 2023. Public viewing 1:30-5pm service at 3pm. Castillo Funeral home 520 N. General McMullen San Antonio Tx 78228.
