I don’t have a plan
It’s in the goddess’ hands
I let go of control
Flow to the rhythm of my soul
Every time I’ve been down
Somehow I come back around
So I started to believe
In some greater than me
I met past versions of myself
They are so proud
No regrets of who I’ve been
My higher self I have found
I met future versions of myself
They said keep on going
You make a difference in the world
With the authenticity you’re showing
Keep discovering more of you
In whatever way feels true
Look within and see the light
Reflect it in everything you do
I met all versions of myself
They welcomed me in line
Leading me to the throne
The one that is mine

What grounds you?
What nourishes you?
What depletes you?
What excites you?
Asking questions like these on a regular basis can reveal where you should be focusing your time and energy. You can take it further by rephrasing the question to apply to who, when, where, and how.
How do I ground myself?
When do I feel excited?
Who depletes me?
Where does my nourishment come from?
Play around with them to better understand what is truly worth your energy, time, and attention.

Imagine that you have inherited a huge garden. You’ve actually had access to it your entire life, but you only realise that it’s yours now. You pay it a visit and immediately see that it is overgrown.
Weeds have taken over. They are so thick and dense that you can’t help but wonder what is hidden underneath.
You know you have to start somewhere, so day by day, you tend to it little by little - removing layers upon layers of build up through the years.
As you remove the unnecessary, the flowers and plants beneath start to reveal themselves.
You can begin to uncover the beauty of the space and start to get excited about its potential.
Since this is your first time gardening, you’ll have to get to know what you’re working with. You start to observe which plants like sunlight, which prefer the shelter of the weeds above, how often they require water, and so on.
The garden is so big that some parts of it seem too overgrown to deal with, so you leave them for later. You realise that it’s a big job and you can’t do it all at once, and that’s okay. The important thing is that you’re showing up and taking care of it.
Every day that you put in the work, more of its beauty comes out, and you’re more motivated to care for it.
This garden is your mind.
How are you tending to it?

Feeling things deeply is not a problem. Not knowing how to honour those feelings is. It’s when we judge our feelings, thinking that they should be something other than what is being presented that the trouble starts. But what’s even worse is suppressing our feelings.
It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to be angry. It’s okay to feel the whole spectrum of emotions. It’s how you witness and what you do with that energy that makes a difference.
Believe it or not, I used to go from zero to 100 real quick. As in, emotions seemed to take over, sweeping me up in their intensity for a wild ride that I felt like I had no control of.
I thought I was an angry person, until I took myself out of situations that triggered that anger, and really looked at why I felt that way, it became clear that the anger was trying to tell me something was severely out of alignment, and the more that I suppressed it, the louder it wanted to shout.
Now that I have healthy ways to cope, like yoga, grounding, journaling, meditating, and breathwork - to name a few, I can’t even remember the last time anger got to a point where I felt out of control.
Instead of focusing on why you shouldn’t be feeling something so deeply, it can be helpful to examine why those feelings are so potent (and likely recurring) anyway.
And always remember, on the flip side of feeling the seemingly difficult emotions so deeply, you have the capacity to feel the highs just as much.
So feel.
Feel all of your emotions.
Notice which emotions persist, knocking at your consciousness begging to reveal deeper layers of buried feelings or issues you’ve suppressed.
With practice, you’ll also be able to discern which emotions are fleeting, simply passing through for a brief moment. And let that guide you on your healing journey. It is a beautiful journey of self-discovery when you see it as such.

When you start to get worried, ask yourself:
What am I really worried about right now?
What is the actual issue?
Get quiet. Get into your body, using the breath to bring you back to calmness so you can identify what the problem is.
It’s common for us to get wrapped up in our heads and allow it to take the lead, going on a wild ride that we didn’t consciously sign up for.
Catching yourself with the thought “What am I truly concerned about at this moment?” can reveal what’s underneath, giving space for the next best step to reveal itself.

Bring more innocence and pleasure to your life by connecting with the wonder and curiosity of your inner child. Imagine yourself surrendering to the simple joys of life, just like a child on a swing.
By looking at the world through a childlike lens, you’ll rediscover the magic in everyday experiences that we as adults often overlook or take for granted.
Whether it’s being spellbound by the vibrant colors of a lotus flower, listening to the birds sing, or running in the rain, joy can be found in the small moments - moments that add up to make this life truly extraordinary.
Spending time in nature is an especially effective way to get your little self to come out and play. Immersed in mother nature, you’ll feel a sense of awe and belonging as you bask in her nurturing embrace.
Remember that it’s never too late to get to know your inner child. You might be surprised just how easily she comes out when you create space to play, explore, and experience the world.
