✨𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝗪𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬✨⁣ Okay, snacks in general are my 𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄! 🙈. I always bring something with me, ESPECIALLY if I’ve just worked out. When we work out moderately to vigorously, we utilize the glucose stores in our body and thus, deplete it from our bloodstream. If we have a hard workout, we’ll actually start to break down fat in order to release energy. ⁣ ⁣ There are different theories on what is best to eat after a work out- but, in general, Protein is often recommended in order to help repair or build muscles. Carbohydrates are often recommended because they help quickly replace any “energy” you used up. Some people say that eating carbs as a pre-workout and then protein post-workout is the best.⁣ ⁣ 𝐘𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬: ⁣ Whey protein supplement shake, pair with dairy or non-dairy milk for a little more protein and carbs⁣ Collagen protein shake or supplements ⁣ Apple + PB (carb + healthy fats + small amount of protein)⁣ Ham (Or deli meat) and crackers⁣ Oatmeal +protein powder (carbs +protein)⁣ Boiled egg ⁣ ⁣ I tend to avoid protein “bars” or processed protein chips and cookies as these are often crazy high in grams of sugar and often have a large amount of man-made ingredients instead of whole foods. ⁣ 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤? ⁣ ⁣ #healthylifestyle #family #organic #healthy #nutrition #healthychoices #exercise #heal #healer #healtheducation #doctor #familywellness #kidshealth #fitness #wellness #workhard #goals #blogger #blogstyle #foodie #positivity #healthcoach #healthblog #lifeisgood #theeverygirl #selfcare
